Vintage fashion sale is a roaring success!

A few weeks ago, I wrote about a sale of vintage clothing and accessories that we were promoting for one of our clients – Addisons of Barnard Castle. I’m pleased to say that the event was an amazing success. Not only did hundreds of people turn up on the day but lots of others participated in the auction online or via the telephone and many lots sold for at least two or three times their original estimates.

US lung-on-a-chip could reduce the need for animal testing

This week, scientists from the Wyss Institute at Harvard University have won an international prize for their creation of a tiny device that simulates a working human lung and has the potential for reducing the need for animal drug testing.

Problem parker gets just desserts - and excellent coverage

Pictures of a Mercedes stranded on an island of asphalt have been flying around social media sites this weekend and have been picked up by 'mainstream' media too. The car in question apparently ignored cordons to park at Edinburgh Waverley rail station and when the diggers moved in, they simply dug up the car park around the errant vehicle. This is certainly fabulous coverage for a pretty dry story - a railway station refurbishment. But is it a case of a driver getting his just deserts or some fabulous PR work that really has that all-important share-factor?
